The Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., Cuttack was carved out of merger of four rest-while nucleus Banks namely Jajpur Co-operative Bank, Kujanga Co-operative Bank, Kendrapara Co-operative Bank and Cuttack Co-operative Bank in the year 1956 and incorporated under Orissa Cooperative Societies Act on 22nd. Sept, 1956. The Bank commenced it's formal Banking business w.e.f. 5th. October 1956 and licensed by RBI (RPCD.Bhubaneswar/22/2011-12) on 25.05.2012.

The four above small independent Banks and their affiliates were in existence right from the beginning of 20th Century. The Bank and its affiliates had existed when there were no roads and bridges, no communication and conveyance and had served the people in neck-deep water, knee-deep mud with many adverse situations when no other Bank/financial institution existed and bank was a dream in rural areas and totally out of imagination of rural population. During the last 65 years, the Bank has witnessed many ups and downs and survived the ravages of time and continue to exist to serve the people.

Area of Operation

The area of operation of the Bank extends to the whole of undivided Cuttack District namely Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur District. Out of 41 Blocks of undivided Cuttack District, 36 Blocks are coming under the area of operation of Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank and remaining 5 Blocks namly
(i) Banki,
(ii) Banki-Dampada,
(iii) Baramba,
(iv) Narasinghpur
(v) Tigiria
are under Banki Central Co-operative Bank. There are 38 branches operating at different places in 4 districts (Un divided old Cuttack District) including one Mahila Branch in the heart of Cuttack City. Besides, an extension counter is also operating in Paradeep Phospate Ltd.., at Paradeep under Paradeep Branch. Out of the above 36 Blocks, presently there are no branches in Kantapada, Baranga and Dangadi Blocks and Niali, Sadar and Sukinda Branches cater to the said Blocks respectively. Badachana Block have two Branches namely Badachana and Balichandrapur.
